# AI - What is it

**How AI Works**

AI systems generally work by processing large amounts of data to identify patterns, make predictions, and adapt their performance over time without explicit programming. The core concepts and processes include: 

* **Data Collection:** Gathering large datasets (text, images, audio, etc.) which serve as the raw material for the AI to learn from.
    
* **Processing & Learning:** Using algorithms and computational models (like machine learning) to analyze the data, identify patterns, and adjust its internal settings to improve accuracy.
    
* **Decision Making:** Once trained, the AI model uses the patterns it has learned to make informed decisions, recommendations, or take automated actions when encountering new data.
